Situated in the sleepy coastal village of Sanur on the magical island of Bali, La Taverna privately owned hotel set within extensive tropical gardens that open directly onto the golden sands of the Indian Ocean.
La Taverna was one of the first hotels to open in Bali and has over the years played host to artists, writers, musicians and a wide assortment of other colourful personalities. Its European owners have endeavoured to maintain this classic spirit of the old Bali, whilst also seeking to provide a comfortable, relaxed and informal environment where the emphasis is always on the friendly and the personal.
La Taverna has a total of 45 rooms set within spacious and tranquil gardens. Rooms are divided into Superior, Deluxe (depending on size and position), Family Units (2 connecting rooms with a shared bathroom) and Suites (Duplex rooms with private garden). All rooms have their own veranda or balcony, en suite bathroom and individually controlled air conditioning.
Dining is a relaxed affair at La Taverna. The well respected La Taverna beachfront restaurant is open throughout the day and offers an excellent selection of Indonesian, Italian and International dishes (made with the freshest local ingredients). Breakfast can be taken in one of the thatched gazebos overlooking the beach and could include freshly squeezed fruit juice, delicious banana pancakes, scrambled eggs and Italian or Balinese coffee. Lunch could be a variety of salads or a club sandwich, served with an ice-cold local beer by the pool. Dinner can offer freshly caught fish, warm-water lobster or a mild Indonesian curry served with a chilled white wine, at a candle-lit table on the beach. Food can also be served directly to your room. La Taverna has a well-stocked bar and a wide range of drinks and cocktails are available at most times.
During the day, sun beds and recliners are available both around the swimming pool and on the beach in front of the hotel (where the offshore reef ensures the waters are always calm). Alternatively, guests may choose to relax in one of the pavilions set in the shady gardens. Cable television, DVD and internet access are available in various areas of the hotel and an internet wi-fi service is available in rooms, on request. If guests wish to truly unwind, La Taverna offers a full body and beauty service with traditional massage and a range of beauty care using natural oils and skin products.

The 45 rooms are available at La Taverna Bali Hotel in a range of configurations including Standard, Superior and Deluxe. Family units are available each with two connecting rooms sharing a bathroom. There are also two storey suites two of which have there own private gardens. The Presidents Suite has its own garden leading onto the beach. The style is Balinese with a strong Italian flavour. All the rooms have antique Balinese doorways and the furniture is also antique. The Garden Deluxe rooms have high thatched ceilings. |

La Taverna Bali Hotel restaurant provides fine dining in the main restaurant building overlooking the pool, in the gazebo overlooking the beach or, if you wish, under the stars on the beach itself. The menu has many Italian favourites along with international and Balinese meals. A comprehensive breakfast menu, a range of light meals during the day and of course fine dining meals in the evening. La Taverna is famous for its pizzas and its wood fired pizza oven was the first in Bali. Our chefs make their own pasta, foccacia bread is made fresh every day and the cappuccinos and lattes are made using the finest Italian coffee.
